Our Firearms Safety Course combines the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC), and their exams, in a convenient, combined, 2-day weekend format. These are the courses and exams that meet the requirements for licencing under the Firearms Act.
The courses cover:
-
Introduction to firearms
-
Operating the various action types
-
Firing techniques
-
Range procedures
-
Cleaning
-
Social responsibilities
-
Safe storage/transportation/display requirements
Our instructors focus the material on the student seeking armed employment, such as those applying for or occupying a position with certain federal enforcement or security agencies, armoured car security, nuclear plant security, and similar positions. However, the CFSC/CRFSC course is designed for any firearms novice regardless of their interest.
CFSC and CRFSC Student Handbooks are available for download from the Resources page, or can be provided at the course for $12 each.
